GET READY TO TEST

Before You Begin

A little preparation can prevent major problems during your competition.

✓ Check your event format:
Know whether your event is Objective Only, Application Only, or Objective + Application.
✓ Have your test ticket ready:
Required for AnswerWrite login credentials on tests with Objective portions.
✓ Use a PDF reader application:
Open downloaded test booklets in a PDF reader, not in a browser tab (for Application portions).
✓ Review submission requirements:
Know your event's total parts and required file uploads before time expires.

IMPORTANT TESTING RULES

Avoid These Testing Mistakes

For Objective + Application events, these actions can affect your ability to finish.

DO NOT CLOSE JUDGEPRO

Keep the JudgePro window open throughout your contest. If you close it, even accidentally, you will not be able to restart your test.

DO NOT LEAVE ANSWERWRITE

While taking the online test, do not return to JudgePro to check the timer. Leaving AnswerWrite automatically submits your test, even if unfinished.

SUBMIT BEFORE TIME EXPIRES

Finish uploading and submitting your required files before the JudgePro countdown reaches zero. No additional time is provided.

OBJECTIVE + APPLICATION EVENTS

Complete Both Parts in This Order

Events with both components require students to complete an AnswerWrite objective test and JudgePro application work. Follow the sequence below to avoid accidental submission or losing access to your contest.
  1. Open JudgePro and keep it open.
  2. Complete and submit AnswerWrite.
  3. Close only the AnswerWrite tab.
  4. Download the booklet and open it in a PDF reader.
  5. Complete and save your application work.
  6. Upload and submit everything before time expires.

START IN JUDGEPRO

Do NOT begin at the AnswerWrite link printed on your test ticket.
